Welcome to Franklin Indiana, seat of Johnson County and located in South Central Indiana. Served by State Highway 44 and US Highway 31, Franklin is 21 miles south of Indianapolis. Home of Franklin College and named after Benjamin Franklin, Franklin was founded in 1822.
